Hi! I’m Lane, the voice behind this food blog filled with recipes from authentic Lao, Thai, and Vietnamese cuisines.
Here I am with my sister and I right before the family came over with a mix of southeast Asian dishes!

I’ve been in the kitchen cooking flavorful dishes since I could remember. When I was just two years old, my father had passed away and I grew up with my mom, the matriarch of the family, and five other siblings.
As a child, I learned so many tips and tricks from my own mother, which I am now trying to pass on to my American born children.

My husband and I moved to the heart of America, where we had two beautiful kids. In the 1980s, we immersed ourselves fully into American culture while raising Asian American children.

Between my very own siblings and my husband’s siblings, we have an amazing family full of cooks. I can honestly say that our family gatherings have some of the best foods that you’ll ever taste! Food and cooking was a way to continue to instill our heritage and culture for our family
Because of that, I wanted an outlet to share how easy it is to make these delicious, authentic recipes on your own.
And for those of you who want to recreate these meals on your own, but are too intimidated to venture into Asian supermarkets, my goal is to share with you my grocery hauls and explain how each of the ingredients can be used and where to find them!
